I wouldn't be surprised if Kings of Leon are a headliner. I feel like they will be hitting some festivals and Bunbury is the right sized festival for them to be the #1 billed act on.

Definitely could see this also. Yeah I could see that. I saw them in 2010 when they were better but I wouldn't hate them as a headliner. They have a March festival date in Florida scheduled but nothing after.

Hangout Fest lineup was announced yesterday. The top 2 billed are Mumford and Twenty One Pilots. There are three bands that had nothing scheduled for 2017, but now have a May festival on their schedule, which I would think puts them in play for others: Weezer, Franz Ferdinand, and Young the Giant. I could get into those.

I mean, I get that they're popular enough, but we had the Killers and Florence and the Machine at Bunbury and in my mind, Twenty One Pilots isn't anywhere near their level yet. And Hangout is one of the bigger festivals in the country.

It seems like 97% of the teens are listening to them. "Level" is a matter of perspective.

Hello everyone. Glad to be back again this year. My first guess is The Griswolds. They are playing a Promowest event in March. They are touring and nothing scheduled Bunbury weekend.

Godammit. My Arcade Fire dream crushed so early. Also, that is a bizarre mix of artists on that bill. We have to cross Grace Jones and Slayer off the list.

Hell, two years ago they packed Sawyer Point to a ridiculous level and they had just released their latest album. They have picked up a ton of momentum since then.

For whatever reason, I still think of them as smaller, up and coming band. I guess that's probably because I had friends who have been on them since the very beginning. I also think it's weird that Walk the Moon is a huge act across the country now, for that same reason. Once you get a first impression of an artist, it's hard to change it.

Forecastle lineup is announced Tuesday. Remember, no band has played both Forecastle and Bunbury.

Forecastle lineup is announced Tuesday. Remember, no band has played both Forecastle and Bunbury. That's good news I suppose. More info. No offense to them, but I hope their lineup totally blows! Also, what is Firefly doing? Aren't they usually known for being the first to announce? We're almost 3 weeks past their announce date last year.

COIN is confirmed for Bonnaroo and Forecastle so we probably won't be getting them this year...they were on my wish list

Hoping for Chance as a headliner. He's playing Hangout and he killed at Breakaway.

I kind of wanted Nathaniel Rateliff but oh well, maybe next year. I am hoping they surprise us as much as they did last year.

I could easily see The Revivalists on the lineup. This band is about to get huge. The lead singer is from Hamilton, so they have a hometown link.

I just saw Sleigh Bells are touring and playing a festival in FL in March. Maybe we can get a noise band at Bunbury.

Lorde is rumored heavily to be at Gov's Ball. They and Bunbury share people pretty frequently. Keep the notion of that open. She's likely to be at Bonnaroo too so it would make sense to do NY, Cinci, Tenn. in a 10 day loop.

KoL - that's a bit of a bummer as I was getting used to the idea of them as a potential headliner. Seems like we are eliminating bands as quickly as we can identify them as potential headliners.
Lorde - Not only no, but hell no. No shitty pop, please.
Bands now confirmed to be touring 2017 and in play: Live and A Perfect Circle. I'd be happy with either of those.

I figure there will be at least one big pop act; I'd rather it be TOP, but Lorde would kind of make sense.
Sleigh Bells would be a welcome addition for sure!
And don't get my hopes up for A Perfect Circle...Maynard kills it in whatever act he's performing with. Seems a little out of line with previous Bunbury's though.

What about Bruno Mars? He starts his tour mid-July with stops in Indy, Cbus, Cleveland, and Lousiville...but no Cinci.
