Who are we wanting?

First thing I want is the dates. Last year they were announced on Sept 1, but we have heard nothing so far this year. Do we even know who is touring/available? I guess my first request would be Arcade Fire since the new album should be out by then. I'd also love to see Nothing But Thieves as they are getting hot and are doing a PW show next month. That's what I got off the top of my head. Anyone else?

Has Governor's Ball been announced? They seem to have some crossover with them the last couple of years. Arcade Fire would be great, I want to see Gary Clark Jr. as well.

June 2-4 seems most likely, I agree. What are they waiting for? I've asked on Twitter but their account has been quiet as a mouse fart. How about Lumineers? They just announced an extension to their arena tour that runs into April. They seem like a good possibility for some festival dates.

Predictable I suppose.

Lumineers are coming to US Bank Arena in January, so not sure if they would do both. I just saw them in Louisville, they were great.

Is that new? I bought my VIP in January last time and it was well before they sold out. I believe it was just before a price increase maybe? Do they usually put them up this soon?

They didn't do early bee pricing for VIP last year. You are taking it on faith that they will have a good lineup so hopefully the discount is significant.

I believe this is a response to my threat to check out the Firefly lineup in November before committing my cash to Bunbury this year. But seriously, if I bought VIP in January last year without knowing the lineup, why wouldn't I buy them in October for a discount?

There are a couple bands I've been wondering about that had festival news today. Green Day and Prophets of Rage are headlining a festival in Austria June 15-17. I had no idea if either would be doing 2017 festival dates, but it appears they are. So I would add them to the list of possibilities.

I could see Tegan and Sara doing some festivals next summer. They are also playing the Express Live stage through Promowest this fall/winter.

Rock Am Ring is on the same dates as Bunbury and they have announced their lineup. Rage and System of a Down are headlining. The most "Bunbury" act on that bill would be Bastille. There are others like Pierce the Veil and Motionless in White that would be more Rock on the Range anyway. But those can all probably be crossed off the list.

Are those ticket prices cheaper than last year?

Are those ticket prices cheaper than last year? Pretty sure VIP is more. I paid like 830 total for two and they're 399 each before fees and taxes this time. Maybe this is what they were after the price jump?

Glass Animals and Saint Motel are one's I want to see on the lineup.

More ideas:
Chili Peppers will be on tour. Headliner?
My favorite band, The Airborne Toxic Event, is starting up again in March. They are on a possibles list for Coachella that was 70% accurate last year. Their Bunbury set in 2012 was great. Maybe they could come back.

Three things:
1. 199 days until Bunbury 2017!
2. We need to start getting more traffic on this board. It's getting into festival announce season. Firefly announced their lineup on Nov 18 last year. So I'm wondering if it could be coming this week.
3. Muse announced they are headlining Lollapalooza next year. They had previously said there would be no album or tour in 2017, just "a few festivals in the US." I'll be interested to see if they might be on the Firefly lineup, and also if they might be in play for us.

Still no word at all on Firefly as far as I can see. Other things:
Arcade Fire - They have Isle of Wight Festival June 10. No reason they can't do Bunbury and Governor's Ball before heading over.
Chili Peppers - playing Cincy May 19, so they're out.
Most bands' schedules don't go out that far yet, so I just have them listed as don't know.

Gorillaz will be coming out with a new album soon. I think they (well, Damon Albarn) would be a good fit for Bunbury.

2015 Walk the Moon plays Bunbury. Does a Killers cover. 2016 The Killers play Bunbury. Do an Interpol cover. 2017 Interpol confirmed??
I heard they were working on some new stuff. I'd love to see them. I'd be super happy with Arcade Fire as well.
