Is there really enough crossover in the audience for these pop acts? At least a lot of the same people like EDM stuff like Deadmau5 and the indie acts that dominate the festival. This reminds me of last year when people were suggesting Adele or The Weeknd. I'd hate to have to leave early one day over that kind of crap.

I don't put it past PW to pick a pop act with mass appeal. Some people that don't like/know a lot of the undercards will still shell out for a headliner. Also, I would enjoy the hell out of Adele, The Weeknd, or Bruno Mars.

What about Bruno Mars? He starts his tour mid-July with stops in Indy, Cbus, Cleveland, and Lousiville...but no Cinci. I doubt it. Bunbury is too close to Louisville and Columbus. At least I hope he's not there. He costs so much that I'm sure the rest of the lineup would suffer as a result.

I think with all the other bands/artists that are out as options early, they are going to have to pull a rabbit out of their hat. I wish they could pull Foo....I guess they still could, but I don't see it as likely.

What about Jack White? He doing anything this year?

What about Jack White? He doing anything this year? No word on any shows yet, but he did put out that acoustic compilation. I have yet to listen to it. Maybe that could lead to some festival dates. I'd be good with that.

I don't see Jack White as the festival type. Jack White headlined Coachella in 2015 and also had a huge set at Glastonbury. I know he's done them before, but I think he is really selective on which festivals he performs. I don't really see Bunbury as one of them, honestly.

Remember in 2015 when Reverend Horton Heat put Bunbury on their tour schedule and became the first confirmed band? They currently have June 4 listed for 2017. I'll take that as a confirmation.

Consequence of Sound reported yesterday that Tool is headlining Governor's Ball. Does this mean there is a chance we get Tool?

Young the Giant is playing Celeveland on June 10th. I'd be shocked if they didn't play bunbury.

I would love to see Gary Clark Jr. in the lineup. Actually, both of those would be great.

Didn't someone here have an inside source?

Didn't someone here have an inside source? Well, I guess it's that time of year again! And yeah, that was me. But my inside source doesn't hear anything til a lot closer to announcement time. I may get lucky enough to hear ahead of time when announcements might start coming, but as of now, I'm in the same boat as all of you. And for those wanting Sleigh Bells, they are playing Promo West, so they are definitely a possibility if not a probability. Chance the Rapper would be awesome. Bruno Mars would be awesome. He's one of those guys who you don't even know you like til you watch him perform. On the radio he's nothing but pop, but live he is amazing. A real throwback performer. Having said that, I doubt he'd be at Bunbury. I'm really hoping for The Record Company. I am in love with their music right now. Dinosaur Jr is also playing Promowest. I saw them a few years ago at Nelsonville and they still sound great. A few other notable Promowest names, Black Joe Lewis, Bad Suns, Cold War Kids, Foxygen, Margo Price, Andrew McMahon, The Orwels, and Sigur Ros. Though Sigur Ros is out because they already have gigs scheduled each day of Bunbury.

Reverend Horton Heat has once again jumped the gun.
They have Bunbury on their tour schedule on the website for Sunday June 4th.
One band down!

I bought my 2017 VIP passes already. Also switched from Millennium Hotel to one across the bridge in KY.
I was hoping we might get the LIVE reunion, but they are going to be at Rock on the Range.

Gov Ball lineup just dropped. With the exception of Tool, I'd love to see any of these headliners at Bunbury.

Hmm. Is it safe to assume we probably share a headliner with GB again? Tool is the only one of these I would want to see, and I don't know that I feel it likely they come to Cincy.

Bring back Hip Hop day! Give me Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, and Wu-Tang.
We will probably end up with Phoenix. Which is a very good band, just unexciting.

Yeah, if we are sharing a headliner again, I would think Phoenix.

I see that Local Natives made the Governors Ball lineup and they're at Primavera too. I originally thought that there wouldn't be any shared acts between Primavera and Bunbury but it looks more likely now.

Anyone want to do a "10 bands you think will be in the lineup" thread like we did last year? I have a somewhat extensive list of possible acts.
