They wouldn't headline and I'm pretty sure they are in Europe that week. They do kick ass though. Royal Blood is in Pitt on May 31 and Nashville June 3. I think the only question is whether they play Fri or Sat. And my guess would be they go on the main stage right before the headliner. Google is your friend, perhaps I should use it! Not sure why I thought they were in a European festival, but your thoughts I think are spot on.

Fleet foxes is available, almost entire month of June open with no dates near here throughout their spring tour. That’d be and incredible show. Don’t know if they’d headline or close down sawyer point though.

Tame Impala just announced a show overseas in July, meaning they may be doing some one off stuff. I'd love something like that. I was just thinking. I'd be VERY annoyed if they got LCD Soundsystem. They've been virtually everywhere already so that wouldn't be that special at all.

Not sure if anyone saw this, but The National are throwing a small music festival in Cincy April 28th-29th. "Homecoming, in association with MusicNow, will see a lineup of over 20 artists curated by the band playing on two stages in Smale Park and other venues throughout the city, and The National themselves will be playing two separate shows.". Lineup coming early 2018. ntlhomecoming.com/#main-header

Id ask who you’ve heard but honestly it’ll just make me mad haha. We had like 9 weddings last year and I’m already up to about 5 this next year, luckily they are all spring or fall so summer is wide open.

I am new to this board, but I have been participating in the fantasy league. Most of the bands I have put in are ones I want to see. Some are ones I actually think may perform. Here is what I have come up with in 8 weeks: Spoon, The Lumineers, RHCP, Nothing But Thieves, Odesza, Portugal. The Man, Cold War Kids, the Floozies, Run The Jewels, MGMT, Arcade Fire, Kendrick Lamar, Bishop Briggs, Franz Ferdinand, Awolnation, and GRiZ (Live Band). Again, most of these are shows I would like to see at the fest.

Now we just need some inside source to drop some names for us!

My logic is that I’m only going to guess acts I want to see so if I win I’m extra excited and if I don’t odds are I won’t wanna go. But two people I guessed I got confirmed for the nationals thing. I need to make an account I just don’t know how haha. But welcome! Arctic Monkeys would be sweet but they’ll probably be in Europe this summer where they’re more appreciated. Maybe they’ll do Bunbury as a one off type deal? Idk we’ll see.

Source close to the National told me Bon Iver and St Vincent Those are very good gets and will certainly sell tickets. Actually goes along with their genre too. I also forgot to point out that COIN is going to be touring in Cleveland and Columbus in Feb as part of their North American tour for heir album coming out this spring but no Cinci dates

We’ll probably get them on the river stage on a Friday.

No Indie or Rock headliner for Coachella. Wow. That’s really upsetting because I feel like Coachella usually pulled really good rock bands. Also a big hit for the genre.
I’m going to be upset if more festivals follow. Rap and R&B concerts just aren’t the same. Thinking about moving to Europe if US festivals don’t pick it up soon because Glastonbury doesn’t play around.

I have my doubts but I would really love for this festival to begin to brand its self towards the Indie/Alt Rock spectrum of music

I have my doubts but I would really love for this festival to begin to brand its self towards the Indie/Alt Rock spectrum of music I feel like festivals sell better with rock acts. The most crowded shows I’ve been to at Bunbury were all rock acts. This year at Muse I was pretty close and there was absolutely no room to move but when Death Cab was over it felt like I could practically walk to the front of Wiz Khalifa’s set.

Maybe this is the year we get the lineup earlier or at the same time as most other festivals. Has there been any rumors for Forecastle yet? Because you know that'll rule all those acts out.

I went with J. Roddy Walston & The Business and Empire of the Sun this week in the fantasy thing. I know J Roddy and Promowest have a great relationship and they have been touring lately to promote their new album. I also saw empire of the Sun show up on a couple other fests. Empire of the Sun could be a headliner on the edm day or at least an alternative to artists like The Chainsmokers. Am interested n what people think about these two.

Roddy, that’s a good early day set if you ask me. Didn’t Empire of the Sun headline several years ago? I like them and would actually prefer them to most rap and edm. Would probably see them closing down sawyer point, with some bigger more EDM based name headlining the day.

I saw J Roddy at one of the "Trust Us" series that CD102.5 puts on here in Columbus and hadn't heard a song from them and didn't know any of them the night of but overall it was still fun and they are definitely very close to rock bands of old that's for sure. I'd love to see Empire of the Sun. Saw them back when they did the first Breakaway Festival at CREW Stadium and it was awesome. I dunno if they would bring back a repeat headliner already but it would be fun regardless.

If they would bring Bleachers, HAIM, Killers and/or Florence back I would be static

I see walk the Moon as the most likely of all those names, they seem be a festival favorite. I could possibly see the killers bc they are active next summer but I doubt they’d be back so soon. HAIM or Florence would be great to have back. It really is insane how little anyone seems to know about who’s playing.
Last year they announced that lineup reveal party on January 9th then started doing hints. My guess is that we start getting something from bunbury the first week of the new year, as every year the lineup drops a little earlier.

All of the festivals are trying to get out earlier and earlier every year due to the saturation.
If they go Walk the Moon for the local flair, bring on Afghan Whigs and Bootsy too! Past time they booked those legends!

I dont know if its been brought up yet but Walk The Moon does a pretty extensive US tour at beginning of 2018 and hits Stage AE (run by PromoWest) and skips Ohio completely and hits every surrounding city and state. That could certainly be a red flag for swinging back to do Bunbury and Columbus in June once the lineup is announced or something along those lines. They’d be a 2 or 3 on a Bunbury lineup no?

There’s no way they can justify Walk the Moon at 2 or 3 imo. They’d have to be like a 5 or 6 at the highest. Their latest album didn’t impress me much but I do really like some of their older stuff. They have a pretty energetic show
