I have seen Weezer, Green Day, and Vampire Weekend all in the last year or so, but I'd still be happier than a monkey throwing shit at small children if those were the headliners.

I guess I'm in the Minority here (pun intended), but Green Day is an all time favorite of mine and the best live concert I have been to. FIngers crossed for an Indy or CBus date because I'd love to see them again and cross FOB and Weezer off the bucket list as well. My only issue is having three bands that are headline level on a single night probably limits them to about an hour each, or 90 minutes at most. All three have such deep catalogs. I'm wondering if they plan to do them as Stadiums (i.e. like Ohio Stadium) or something like that. If they did that I would guess they would do weekend shows and give them all longer set times. Which would be awesome! I actually think Ohio Stadium might be too big for something like this? I could be totally wrong. But Mapfre Stadium would absolutely be able to sell really well for a big concert like this in the summer.

Yeah, I imagine the tickets would be ridiculous if it was in Ohio Stadium and likely push people away. The Beyonce/JayZ and Taylor Swift Tickets STARTED around ~$200ish and I would argue those have a much bigger draw. I just don't think it would be feasible to put it in a stadium for 100,000+

I don't want to be pessimistic, but I have a feeling this is not going to sell super super well. Hopefully I am wrong though!

This being all baseball parks in the US is kind of weird to me. Definitely not what I expected at all.

Blink 182 have cancelled their Columbus show scheduled for this month. Let’s never discuss this musical act ever again. Second only to Morrisey when it comes to “Most Likely to be Completely Undependable to do Even Half the Shows They Commit to Doing”.

Blink 182 have cancelled their Columbus show scheduled for this month. I literally just got tickets to this show over the weekend. I am really upset with this. Not sure if I will ever buy a ticket to a concert they're at again and I always consider them to be one of my favorite bands. ugh....

It was just LiveNation that was contacted by their management. What a joke Bunbury ‘18: scheduled, canceled 2 days before, said they’d play the fest in ‘19 September ‘18, Columbus: scheduled, then canceled about 1 week before Bunbury ‘19: canceled about 1 month before June ‘19, Columbus: scheduled, then postponed about 1 week before September ‘19, Columbus (make-up date): CANCELED 1 week before

I don't even know if you blame the band members or management at this point but if anyone is thinking of buying tickets to them in the future, they should save their money. These guys are not worth it.

These guys are not worth it. You literally cannot make this up. They've worn out their welcome in OH. Something tells me they won't be back. Also, this tour was ill-advised and at risk of failing from the very start. I'm honestly surprised the tour made it all the way through, save for this date

I could not believe it when I first saw the announcement it was cancelled. I have lawn tickets for the Cincinnati date this coming Monday. I will actually be impressed if they show up and perform after all the cancellations we've had.

There have been multiple reports of staff handing out pit and pavilion passes to try to fill closer sections up. I had friends hit a Virginia and Houston show and both groups all got upgrades to the pit for free.

I was looking at the pavilion seats yesterday and it is almost all still available which made me worried the whole thing might get cancelled.... imagine that! LOL

No way to tell how full the pit will be, but at $140 each there are bound to be more than a few tickets laying around when gates open

Jesus christ you can't make this stuff up. I saw my source last night and they said blink's management has reached out to Bunbury and want to come to Bunbury 2020. They did not tell me the decision made on the call, but I guess it was a heated exchange of words to say the least.
I personally would be pissed if they make it on the lineup after all the crap they've pulled so far. It isn't a good look for Bunbury even though it's not their fault.

Blink hasn't performed nearly well enough on their tour to warrant a third booking at bunbury. If I'm promowest I'd absolutely be done with them they aren't even close to worth the headache anymore

Promowest would literally be sabotaging their own festival at this point if they booked Blink again. They didn't exactly handle it super well the first time around, and those who bought tickets super early for 2019 expecting to se Blink got screwed. On top of that, they put out an incredibly underwhelming lineup this year. Not to mention the multiple other times Blink has screwed Promowest and Ohio fans.

I totally glossed over this yesterday when you posted this. I will boycott this festival if they actually book Blink 182 again. And then petition that we get the banner of this site changed to a generic festival one so we aren't Bunbury centric anymore after a debacle like that!

Yeah, they book Blink, and its almost a guarantee I skip Bunbury again unless there's a crazy good lineup around it or someone I really, really want to see. At this point, they'd be paying 500k+ for a booking that would probably turn away more fans than it actually attracts. No way that's a good decision.

I also neglected to mention that the tentative date for the lineup release is January 31st again. Nothing really exciting as we all know it's right around that time every year but I still want to pass on any nuggets of info that I have. I was also told they are thinking of bringing in a local artist to do a small show after the announcement and that artist would be on the lineup for Bunbruy 2020. I think that's a pretty cool way to bring notoriety to some bands that don't get as many people checking them out. I'm all for it!
