Keep those hopes nice and low.
Granted I had a great time in VIP last year and dug the lineup... I’m an anamoly.
Speaking of which, I hope AvA is there.

Their light show is top notch and they're great live! Tom was having some back issues later on in the tour though which might have made him less lively on stage but at my show he was going nuts jumping off things and dancing

I remember saying on this thread earlier on in the year how awesome it would be if they were there. Love AVA. They are one of the few bands that could sell me on the lineup.

Another band on my bucket list that I think would fit well is Japandroids. Does anyone have an opinion on them or know anything about their touring? I grew up with several of their songs on my iPod so they have always been a wish for me

Shame about Tom being back on the pain meds but he still killed it — remarkably awful but great voice and all. (Also hoping for Sum 41...)

Just got the word that we should "bee" expecting some social media posts relatively soon from Bunbury... see what I did there?... I assume this is just announcing the fantasy league thing and not anything really ground breaking

I assume this is just announcing the fantasy league thing and not anything really ground breaking Would be nice if they felt confident in their lineup and started doing some clues and stuff like that earlier this year than the typically one of the last festivals to announce it. But I don't expect that. Just saw COIN put out tour dates and hit Indy, Cleveland, Columbus and Louisville but not Cincinnati. I have to think that make them a likely undercard act.

That seems very likely given the tour dates and their vibe. Not super familiar with them, but know a few songs and saw them open for Young & Fitz. I enjoyed them and think they're a good fit for Bunbury

Was just on Inforoo and some people on there seem to think that Bonnaroo booking Lizzo is a no brainer but could also see themselves missing out of her because festivals like Forecastle would make her a headliner and Bonnaroo wouldn't make her one.
Which 1. I could see a Bunbury or Forecastle making her a headliner based off of the crowd sizes I was hearing she brought in for her ACL performance and 2. Bonnaroo thinking they can nab 3 or 4 headliners that are right now popular enough for her to be undercard is kind of funny considering their lineups the past few years haven't been as stellar as they've once been. A lot of them are predicting Travis Scott as a headliner and I feel like Lizzo would potentially be cheaper and pull in more of an audience than Travis Scott would. But maybe that's just me not knowing enough of the hip hop scene right now.
Also: New Tame Impala coming out soon. PLEASE book them Promowest!

Related — it’s the reason I missed Lizzo. My girlfriend loves her and she seems to put on a ridiculous show. I’d take her a million times over Travis Scott. I can’t do rap concerts. They’re almost always brutal.

Vampire Weekend and Tame.... that's enough to get me there even with a terrible rest of the lineup. There's almost no way that happens though. I think those are the two biggest current rock bands still making commercially successful and acclaimed music. That'd be tough to book for a small festival

That'd be tough to book for a small festival I feel like they will look at those 2 as the same type of artist and therefore go with one or the other and then have the two other headliners be of a different genre. I could be wrong but their lineups kind of been that way for a few years. I know we feel fairly confident in Vampire Weekend being one of them based on some of the stuff Whitney heard and their tour dates. If that's the case I think Forecastle would end up with Tame. And maybe Bonnaroo. Unless they are too big now for a Bunbury or Forecastle but I don't feel like that's the case.

Just could never get into Tame Impala. Skipped them the last time. I find them to be pretty talented, but boring.

Somehow just discovered Lime Cordiale and I’d really like to see them at Bunbury. I’m not sure they really fit in with what they tend to book, but it’s pretty good stuff.

Glass Animals are starting to announce some dates in the UK and Australia. Looks like their drummer is almost fully back from his recovery.
Someone on Inforoo is also claiming they heard from someone that would know that the White Stripes are going to reunite. Jack White did just come there so it isn't completely outlandish to think they could be a possibility (although I think quite the long shot).
Also just saw a poster for Sturgil Simpson's tour and he goes to Pittsburgh and Columbus early in it and then the last date is May 24th in Louisville. Unless he is hitting overseas after that I could see that being a 2 week break then hitting festivals.

Also, Pearl Jam had some summer dates leaked. Bunbury is DEFINITELY NOT getting them (and I'm okay with that) but I but some bigger festival pick them up

They feel like a Bonnaroo or Gov's Ball booking.

I just realized they were at Bonnaroo 2016. Probably Gov's Ball though I bet. Strokes spot on that lineup. Or Lolla since that feels like the most organic spot outside of like Riot Fest and ones like that.

I would also not be surprised to see Pearl Jam hit Shaky Knees. Shaky Beats got scrapped, so that would likely mean Knees has some extra cash to get a wee bit... shakier.

I’d also like to add Less Than Jake to my **I hope so** list for Bunbury, to fill that Streetlight Manifesto slot. I saw them a month ago with Bowling For Soup (who are fucking cringeworthy) and they killed it.

Mad cool in Spain released their headliners. It's in July so some of these acts could definitely be in play for Bunbury. Taylor Swift, Twenty One Pilots, and Billie Eilish are the first three. I can't see Bunbury grabbing them but the next 3 headliners are Alt-J, The Pixies, and Tove Lo. The Pixies closing the second stage would be awesome and I'd also like to see Alt-J.

Pixes were the worst show I’ve seen in my 28 years. Alt-J is pretty boring but that’s what I expect from them. They do a pre’ tasty show regardless.
