Does anyone here work at Pins Mechanical downtown? My source told me that the first headliner has already been booked for Bunbury 2020. After we left, they said "Just so you know, we already booked one of the headliners and they were playing in Pins while we were there". We were there between 5:30pm-6:45pm if you are able to get into the touchtunes music history. I have no idea if this is something that's feasible to do? if it's blink-182 i swear to fucking god

Like era/genre?

I do remember playing jenga outside and thinking that the music selection was pretty good but I honestly can't recall a single song that was playing. Honestly though, I would not be surprised if festivals tried to pick Blink 182 up cheap after this tour flops hard. Literally every show I've looked at hasn't even sold 1/3 of their seats

I'm not sure the limitations on that but if someone has TouchTunes it's worth looking into and seeing if you can see what songs were playing during that song.

I thought you could go back retroactively but perhaps you cant. I've never had the app, only looked off my friends. I was going to ask him about it's workings but it looks like you guys are already investigating haha. I haven't been to Pins in a hot minute so I'm not really sure what the usual musical vibes are there.

You might be able to, but it definitely was not something that was readily apparent in a quick glance through the app

I’m feeling a little optimistic now after hearing that they’ve booked a headliner. Compared to last year at this time they only had “the witch hunt list” if I remember correctly

I'm shooting super far, but The Strokes would seem like a great closer. Fits the bunbury type bill, and you never know what acts you get, ie the chainsmokers last year.

New black keys record is solid. If they came back would they headline a day? Or close sawyer?
Side note: I’m not really sure what the new stage names are so I’m sticking with sawyer, yeatmans, and river lol

They are headlining Life Is Beautiful in Vegas over Billie Eilish, Vampire Weekend and Lil Wayne among others.

Talked to my friend in CAAMP over the July 4th weekend and he told me Promowest reached out to his manager about playing Bunbury 2020. I think they're the first band we can throw on our list as real possibilities

Maybe they'll try and release the schedule earlier this year. While I think since they are smaller you don't want to get stuck within the news of the big ones I also think it might be easier to steal some of the thunder out of others if their lineups are bad and yours is good.

I'm thinking that we could get sufjan stevens next year. Fits the bunbury bill, iconic but not mainstream, and just a hell of a talented dude.

Just because they are so notorious in this thread as is: Just saw that the rescheduled Blink 182 show for Nationwide now has added All Time Low as the support because now Lil Wayne can't do that date. haha everything surrounding them seems to be constant chaos

Some of those arena maps look like they've sold only one or two thousand tickets in 15k capacity venues. They used to be huge and seemingly headlining every festival. I guess people have grown tired of them/not missed them.

The worst part is, unless they decide to cancel shows which I doubt at this point they will, they will drastically discount tickets and the people who dove in early are going to be so mad. One of my friends is going and I know that they paid a LOT of money for floor seats to see them.

See, that's exactly what I thought when the original blink nationwide date was just a few days away but tickets prices did not go down. Also what I thought with the outlaw festival at nationwide, tickets did not go down either. My group bought tickets for Black Keys/Modest Mouse and paid $360 for 4 first row upper bowl tickets which isn't TERRIBLE, but still pretty damn pricey. The one benefit is you can guarantee that we will be jockeying to closer seats as the venue looks like it's gonna be fairly empty

Unless you've already been given guaranteed paychecks for each stop and you don't care what comes through the door, then I guess that would make sense. Otherwise, who the hell would want to be an artist and play in front of a 2/3s empty arena. Is upgrading seats once an undersold show starts difficult? I've never done it before. Wasn't sure if the security is lax in that scenario or if they are still hardcore about checking tickets.
