Danny Wimmer Presents announced their 2021 plans. They're scaling back to only a few fall festivals. (And Inkcarceration in July which seems unlikely.) I'll be working LTL if it happens so I have my fingers crossed but I don't really expect anything. Postponing Sonic Temple, Epicenter, Bourbon and Beyond for another year.
DWP Partners With Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival For July 23-25 Event In Mansfield, OH
Louder Than Life Set For September 23-26 With Newly Added Thursday Night Celebration In Louisville, KY
Welcome To Rockville Expands To 4 Days And Shifts From Spring To November 11-14 In Daytona Beach, FL
Previously Announced Aftershock Set For October 7-10 In Sacramento, CA, Almost Sold Out

Hopefully they are committed to coming back in 2022. That's alwaysa a really big deal here. I'm sure with the Crew stadium being under construction with the new practice facility and what not probably made it an easier decision as there is a lot of equipment in areas they would be using for the road crews and what not.

how absolutely incompetent is our government, eh? There is certainly something to be said with how we've been handling things since this all started. Really hopeful that things will improve here sooner than later. It kind of seems like things slowly are (at least numbers in Ohio) but obviously the next few months will be really telling on where we are headed.

Looks like a lot of Pre-Summer festivals are now punting to next year. I just saw Boston Calling is postponing until Memorial Day next year. Ultra also cancelled this year and announced dates for 2022 and Hangout is exploring Fall dates now. Feels like festivals are willing to wait until it gets pretty close to the dates but are already securing commitment for next year before cancelling this year. I'm sure plenty are more to come.
Ohio is likely to allow 30% capacity at sports events that are starting up soon so maybe that's a good sign for Ohio as a whole if the vaccinations can start to uptick in availability?

How are feeling after the recent news of vaccines being accessible to all adults by end of May? Obviously a lot could impact if that happens or not, but would that open to door for potentially concerts and festivals in the late Summer or Fall? I know there is still ramp up time necessary to get the logistics in order.
I saw that the drive-thru concerts are coming back with Prime Social Group teasing the first announcement of one in Columbus today.

WonderBus posted on Facebook that the lineup for this August's festival will be out next month. Fingers crossed! I was very excited to see this. I was like a week from pulling the trigger for last years before the pandemic shut everything down. I'm going to get tickets for sure so I at least have them locked in. I feel like they may limit capacity perhaps so I want to get in on that as fast as possible. Then if they do cancel or postpone at least the tickets are locked in! Do we think the artist list is big? Makes me wonder if they could pull in some names that they otherwise wouldn't have because the festivals are limited this year and some artist just want to make money and play?

That's a bummer about Forecastle but I'm glad it's going to be around next year. I will be keeping an eye on when tickets go on sale for that because that festival is always a blast. I would imagine it wont be until around end of this year.

WonderBus posted on Facebook that the lineup for this August's festival will be out next month. Fingers crossed! I got the email yesterday about Wonderstruck being on for late July. Considering I was going to that over Bunbury last year, I'm pretty sure I'll be going this year. The email said they already have 52 acts booked between WonderBus and WonderStruck. Sounds pretty promising. Can't wait for the lineup, which I imagine might be somewhat similar to what was scheduled for 2020.

I'm very iffy on anything in July, but it's looking more and more likely that late August will be the tipping point and we'll see a healthy fall festival season. Furnace Fest just announced an INCREDIBLE lineup for September.

Furnace Fest just announced an INCREDIBLE lineup for September. Inkcarceration Festival just announced they are moving their dates to September 10-12 and the lineup will be coming out next month. This along with Wonderbus doubling down on their confirmed end of August dates last week (and they actually work with the state and OSU's Medical Experts bc of the fundraising they do for them), this makes me VERY hopeful that we will still see a festival season this year and some concerts maybe even. Dewine announced today that starting Thursday people 50 and over can get vaccines now so it seems like the state is speeding up the efforts (and must have much more supply now?) of vaccinations, which is really encouraging all around as long as people still follow the basic guidelines until we are allowed to not do so anymore.

First major festival lineup has dropped! Life Is Beautiful is on for September, with some impressive names. Green Day, Tame Impala, and Billie Eilish headlining. Modest Mouse, Brittany Howard, Glass Animals, St Vincent and Haim as well. Super encouraging to see this!!

Life is Beautiful in Vegas just announced for Sept 17-19
Green Day is one of the headliners and they were strongly hinted for Louder Than Life last year which is the next weekend.

Been awhile guys - the last year has sucked but I'm really looking forward to seeing...any live music this year at this point. I moved to Chicago during the pandemic so hopefully going to hit up Riot Fest this fall and potentially a delayed Lollapalooza this fall as well. The Life is Beautiful lineup has me hyped for a potential Lolla lineup this year

Loving the Green Day love. I still listen to their Bullet in a Bible live album from time to time. They would be so cool to see live. It makes me wonder, are some of these acts performing here as a one off so should we expect them to also be booked for other fall festivals because they are clearly ramping up their prep on stage production.
Selfishly I saw Glass Animals and immediately thought aloud about how they could be a headliner at Wonderbus

Can attest to Green Day being one of the best life shows in existence. Green Day is one of my favorite bands in general, but their live show is absolutely killer. Every friend I've brought to a show that was a casual fan has said how blown away they were. Festivals are really the only setting I haven't seen them in, I've gone to everything else from 1700 capacity club shows to Wrigley Field. Their last tour any festivals they did were overseas, so I'd love to see a festival run here. Riot Fest would be great as I've already got tickets, but selfishly I'd love even more to see them at something I'm working. Edit to add: I don't know how likely Riot Fest is based on Hella Mega hitting Chicago already five weeks before RF (you know...if it happens) and budget, Riot Fest had to have shelled out a fortune already for the headliners they've announced. Hella Mega doesn't have a Vegas date so there's probably no radius clause in play.

Green Day was booked for louder than Life last year (judging from hints and rumors). I'd say it's likely they show back up there or at Inkarceration since they partnered with DWP.
Also, DWP did a livestream giving some info on their fests. They said there will be very different lineups between ink and ltl which is good. Sounded like they won't share a single headliner. Will be very different feeling lineups apparently.

Green Day headlining InkCarnation or LTL would be the only way I would go to a concert during COVID haha.

With the way things are now, I can't even imagine a world in which we get any leaks for any of the festivals that are actually going to take place...
But if anyone has any info on InkCarceration or Wonderbus please feel free to anonymously feed them to us!
I'm also curious how quickly tickets will fly off the shelves for festivals AND concerts when they come back. I know there will be some apprehension but also there will be some built up demand also I'm sure.

I can't picture any leaks happening. People are gonna guard announcements with their life since they don't want that to be the reason they lose a job when there's an entire industry full of qualified people ready to replace them.

After the rumor started hitting super heavy on the pages, DWP said that they would reveal the "reunion" band after the band had officially announced their comeback. I'm not huge on mudvayne but they'd def be a good fit for INK.

I also noticed Korn was doing some kind of virtual concert and debuting some new songs from a new album so I could see them being part of a lineup also.

Welp, with the news that 16+ can get a vaccine by end of March, do we think this changes timelines for any concerts/festivals in Ohio? I'm shocked things are moving so quickly honestly but it's welcomed news for sure!
