Welp, with the news that 16+ can get a vaccine by end of March, do we think this changes timelines for any concerts/festivals in Ohio? I'm shocked things are moving so quickly honestly but it's welcomed news for sure! Makes me very confident that September shows will happen.

I should have 4 tickets to Wonderstruck, but I haven’t heard anything about that yet. Last year, they let you get a refund or get an extra ticket for each ticket you purchased. We’ll see what happens.

Or open up a resale type market where you can sell them to someone else if you don't want them anymore or something like that. I saw that LostLands had something like that set up.

I like bass music but I'm afraid I would get tired of it after awhile and I know they don't tend to really steer too far away from that heavy genre of EDM overall.

I usually have at least a general idea of what's going on behind the scenes, but I've been furloughed, and the people who usually feed me what info I can't get myself have been furloughed, for so long at this point that I am completely clueless. I can't picture any leaks happening. People are gonna guard announcements with their life since they don't want that to be the reason they lose a job when there's an entire industry full of qualified people ready to replace them. With the word that some of these festivals are going to fire back up and try this fall, hopefully they'll want to bring you back soon to help! About to update my portfolio and resume with "Fully vaccinated! Bring me on tour! I won't bring the plague with me!" (In a few weeks, that is. One shot down, one to go.) Louder Than Life just said they'll announce a lineup next month.

I will most likely go to ltl but we will see.

Really hoping Wonderstruck is similar to 2020's because that lineup was absolutely great for me. Especially PTM, Of Monsters and Men, Saint Motel and others. Brittany Howard is on several lineups already so I'm guessing she's a lock to one or both.

I'm getting very excited about these lineup drops. I'm hoping neither of the local ones do like a "here is the lineup and purchase tickets NOW!" as I'll be traveling the morning that the Wonderbus one drops. I'm very curious to see if tickets sell super fast for these festivals or if there is a slower progression like we used to see since $$$ and apprehension will likely still play a factor.

I'm excited to finally speculate about lineups rather than only speculating about when things will return.
Inkcarceration and Louder Than Life went on sale today. Ink starts at $139.00+ FEES vs LTL's 250+ FEES. LTL is only one extra day so I'm guessing the price difference means they won't share headliners - maybe share one, and it'd be the biggest one for Ink and a smaller one for LTL.

So when thinking about potential headliners for wonder bus and wonderstruck, I am wondering if maybe we get some bigger headliners this year because there are just so few festivals actually taking place, specifically with no forecastle and likely no Bunbury. I’m curious if maybe we could get some of their 2020 headliners. Obviously not twenty one pilots, but maybe someone like the Avett Brothers or cage the elephant or the 1975.

I am fully prepared to shamelessly buy a one day ticket for whichever festival/day that Limp Bizkit is booked Same, but for Green Day Limp Bizkit definitely feels like an Ink band. Green Day and My Chemical Romance are tied for my favorite band so whoever books those has my heart. But maybe not my money, because I'm gonna be pretty booked for September. Fingers crossed for Green Day at LTL, since I'm committed already. I don't think MCR is LIKELY for any festivals they haven't already announced, but with festival season narrowing, it's possible. They have no show Thursday or Friday the week of LTL and they're already booked on another DWP lineup (Aftershock). I don't know specific bands but I've been told that Louder Than Life is supposedly blowing previous years out of the water. It'd be neat if that translated well with the smaller festivals, too.

Since they are smaller I'm sure their budget isn't such that they could usually get those acts but I wonder if some acts are just ready to get back to doing shows and making money and they would do smaller festivals just to get back into the swing of things. There was oversaturation of festivals a few years ago and now there are significantly less (especially this year) so I wonder if that'll equate to more stacked lineups for a year or two. I think Elevation group (I think that's who it is) that puts them on is relatively small. Which is probably why we aren't able to really get much a leak unless someone from a radio station finds out ahead of time and leaks it or something.

I don't think I can make Ink anymore with the date changes, however I would be interested in LTL since it's not too far of a drive. I'm intrigued by this info about it being a really good lineup. I'm insanely bummed that I didn't get Metallica at Sonic Temple last year so they could reel me into the drive down there easily. Or SOAD.

Something to note is that EDC is trying to move ahead in Vegas, May 21-23. May! They submitted plans to Nevada officials and should have an answer by April 8. A lot of their fans (and talent) are international and can't travel to the US right now so it seems like they'd be shooting themselves in the foot. If it does happen, we might see the first blueprint of what safety measures festivals will start taking.

Festival Owl hinting at the Bonnaroo lineup may be a surprise drop now (and based up on the wording it makes me think that it could come this week). I was a frequenter of Inforoo for awhile up until last year. Usually they drop those on Tuesday or Thursdays in previous years.
It sounded like the a lot of the 2020 artist were retained but some will be replaced with good replacements (according to F.O.) I haven't been in a few years but I have the weekend open and could be convinced to go back to The Farm for a good lineup.

Just nice to see a major lineup announcement again. This would be getting hailed as a good lineup (short on EDM though) if people weren't comparing it to last year. Surprised they're still billing Lizzo that high, it seems like her cultural moment has faded a bit.

Surprised they're still billing Lizzo that high, it seems like her cultural moment has faded a bit. I wonder if some of the artists were already locked in after they cancelled last year so as to be able to scale back up quickly and lock in the official (for the most part) lineup ahead of time. It looks like only a few really dropped out. Wild how they just snuck in an act like Deadmau5 in there. I like this lineup, but I'm also wondering how Tyler, the Creator is a headliner above even Lana Del Ray at this point? That one seems like a headscratcher for me. I could be convinced to go to this. Although with Wonderbus being a week before it, and literally a fraction of the cost, we shall see.

It's the last day of March! April is here. That means more lineups are right around the corner (at least LtL and INK). I have little insight as to who will 100% be playing, but I like to think that I am pretty good at putting the pieces together. Here are some final guesses:
Louder than Life: Headliners will Most likely consist of Metallica, System of a Down, Green Day, and a smaller for the Thursday like Korn or Faith No More. The co-headliners will probably be Deftones, Judas Priest, Puscifer, and Korn (If SOAD plays). Other notable bands that will likely be there include Flogging Molly, Rise Against, The Offspring, Royal Blood, Anthrax, Body Count, Jimmy Eat World, Cypress Hill, The Pretty Reckless, Killswitch Engage, and more obviously.
*That being said, I could easily see MCR replacing Green Day, FFDP being Thursday, and maybe Foo Fighters instead of SOAD.*
Inkarceration: I have less confidence in predicting the bands for INK. Headliners will likely be Five Finger Death Punch, Limp Bizkit, and Shinedown? Korn will be there if they aren't at LtL. Blink could come back I suppose but they'd just cancel. Mudvayne will be there as a big ticket seller, just not as a headliner. The middle-card will be very similar to LTL. Expect the likes of Cypress Hill, KSE, Body Count, Flogging Molly, etc.
The further undercard will be different for the two festivals. Really no guarantees as to what they'll look like. I think LtL will have some of the more up-and-coming artists as there's more space to fill.
I am predicting that I get at least one band right!
