Braxton announced their 3 year anniversary party on March 24. Grizfolk is headlining. Other bands are TBA. This is always a fun time, and it's free.

This is a long shot, but does anyone have the Radiohead WASTE presale link? looking got get columbus ohio tickets!! On reddit they are all saying you need to sign up and they will send you a link via email to get it I guess? No one on there seems eager to publicly share codes though oddly enough. Radiohead fans and their distrust of technology... your best bet is to get them right as they go on sale friday.

Going to Louisville for Coin on Friday!! Love their live show. So much energy. I've always wanted to see them! I'm not familiar with their tour but are they coming back anywhere near Cincy? Not this tour unfortunately. I think it’ll be a little while before their next tour.

Not really Cincinnati or Columbus, but Nelsonville announced their second round this week. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed with them this year. I still say it's one of the best festival experiences out there, but the lineup is really underwhelming so far. George Clinton seems to be their top headliner. He's great but him and The Decemberists aren't enough to get me there for four days and paying to rent a cabin.
So me and the wife have decided rather than go to either Nelsonville or Bunbury this year we're flying out to Colorado and going to see Ween at Red Rocks. Red Rocks is an absolute Bucket List venue for me. And seeing Ween in Denver just seems like the perfect Red Rocks experience. Hopefully we can see through all the smoke. lol

I might end up at bunbury now The first year I went to Nelsonville in 2014 had The Avett Brothers, Dinosaur Jr, The Head and the Heart, Shovels and Rope, Kurt Vile, Jason Isbell, Frank Turner, Lucius, St Paul and the Broken Bones, Shakey Graves.... Just a not stop list of talent. Maybe there is some good unknown stuff on there to me, but it really just doesn't feel like the same caliber of lineup.

But back then I didn't know many of those artists so maybe I'm just slightly behind their greatness for finding talent?

I know there are some Red Wanting Blue fans in here. They'll be at Braxton's 3 year anniversary party this Saturday. They take the stage at 9. Free event. It was pushed a back a week due to the weather and they are replacing Grizfolk.
Also, Walk The Moon is playing after the Reds game July 28. Concert is included with your Reds ticket.

Are these post game concerts full shows or just a few songs? Do they normally play about 75mins worth of music?

My stepdad's law firm gets season tickets so we get the pick of the litter when it comes to tickets so I will snag those up if it's going to be worth it.

I saw the Avett Brothers after the Reds game last year and they played for close to an hour and a half.

Kaleo played for 30 minutes last year, but they didn't start until midnight due to a rain delay.

Today I got a thrillcall notification that said “Vampire Weekend is coming to Cincinnati on May 22”. So I looked at it on the app and it said they were playing at Urban Artifact and I was freaking out bc I had never heard of the venue and thought maybe the tickets were going to sell out really quick. Turns out it’s a band called Vampire Weekend at Bernie’s. So if you got that notification it’s not what you think haha

It really kills your day when these apps cant distinguish...

I meant to follow up to the Reds after-game concerts. If they stop selling booze at the 7th, then does that mean you don't have the option to get any beer or alcohol during the concert afterwards?

I have tickets third base like first row, so would virtually be field tickets for free but....that's quite the catch to the whole concert thing lol.

But completely different experiences.b I'm hoping for a solid lineup so I don't bail out and regret it. Ha

While I like music hall and it needs to be used more, I’d feel weird at an indoor fest. But I’d still really like to check it out

Ha they moved it into music hall right? While I like music hall and it needs to be used more, I’d feel weird at an indoor fest. But I’d still really like to check it out I was unsure about it, but I actually really enjoyed it. It was really spread out in there and after the initial confusion of where to go for all the stages. It was a lot of fun. Plenty of bathrooms and clean!!! Lots of space and no sun! You could go outside for some food trucks and such and soak up a little sun. It really just depends on what you are looking for. My wife had a great time but she was disappointed that it wasn't outside like the year before, or like Bunbury which she prefers for the atmosphere....etc.

I’ll move over to the actual midpoint thread after this, but Death Cab for Cutie is doing an album in August, they may be a little too big but I’d think they’d be a great fit for midpoint. Or maybe next years bellwether if it happens
