Not sure where to post this so I’m posting it here. Rage tickets were $140 total for stadium sitting and they’re donating ALL of the proceeds from ticket sales, including fees, to local charities and activist organizations in each city. Thought this was more reasonable than I was expecting honestly Lol Fake news. First 3 shows are getting a donation. They are reselling their own tickets at platinum prices and giving that money to charity which is kinda cool but charging $125 and disguising it as anything other than what is is....a cash grab....is gross. Lot of money to hear the same 14 songs they played last time they were together. Charging $10 for tickets or giving all proceeds on this tour would've been impressive. It's funny watching people defend these high ticket prices when its an artist they like.

In fact they were very clear to come out and say exactly that. I grabbed tickets because I can afford them and I want to see them. There's nothing gross about touring to make some money. The Rolling Stones and My Chemical Romance are currently doing the same thing and I got Rage seats way cheaper than The Stones or MCR were selling floor seats. You don't have to like it but you can't really blame them for people misunderstanding what they are doing. They don't HAVE to give anything to charity.

I could get MCR floor for like 59 compared to 125 Thats because Rage and RTJ are much better acts, a Ticket to RTJ alone is $60-70 so $125 for both is a steal. Plus you know Zack will perform with RTJ and I wouldn't be surprised if Rage plays "Kill Your Masters" during their set and bring out RTJ.

I'd just like to point out MCR sold out their tour immediately, while Rage still hasn't sold out most dates. "Better act" is very subjective.

MCR is just Limp Bizkit for emo kids, no self respecting music fan listens to them. sorry if youre not ok with that.

They're official, more than $125 and not a resale. It's not a sellout. And sorry you can't understand people listen to other music than you. I'm so tired of people downtrodding MCR fans because they don't like the music, or any band overall honestly. It's disgusting, and self limiting.

The charity tickets are tickets the band held back from being sold in order to cut back on the high price of scalpers, I wouldnt say the shows arent sold out because the band withheld 10% of all tickets. MCR is a just an emo boy band.

Bourbon & Beyond and Hometown rising are announcing lineup tomorrow. Where'd you see this? Can't find the Bourbon & Beyond lineup anywhere. Saw a Facebook post a few days ago claiming it. Hometown came out today so idk why B&B didn’t drop. Hometown is a solid Lineup for Country (I think, idk much about country but I recognize a lot of the names)

Pitchfork is the only music festival lineup that matters this year so far (well besides SK and Homecoming). Solid from top to bottom.

Lumineers, Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, Britney Howard, Leon Bridges, 311, Of Monsters and Men, Nelly, Avett Bros, Portugal The Man, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liam Gallager, Louis the Child Its an impressive lineup for $160

Rage still has hundreds of 125 tickets available for 2nd show in detroit Fine I was wrong... I got my info from an article over on metalsucks.net. (The website name is a joke. It's very pro-metal) Don't confuse me with the guy who was crapping on MCR though. I was just talking ticket sales. I don't crap on anybody else's tastes. People can absolutely like what they like. But there's no need to bash on me or anybody else who didn't mind paying for a Rage / RTJ ticket and is looking forward to the show.

Brutal rumors: the RHCP page shared an updated Sonic Temple Festival poster with them doing Friday and TOOL doing Sunday, eluding to Metallica dropping out. They quickly deleted it. No news out of Sonic Temple or their owner yet though. I am hoping that this isn't the case as I've seen RHCP and it's my least favorite concert of all time and TOOL does nothing for me at all. James just go out of rehab and did a show over the weekend so the news is certainly interesting if it turns out to be accurate.

Ooh, that wouldn't be good - I was curious why they had double Metallica so close to Louder than Life doing the same... But that would be a big blow especially if ALL festivals lost them. Wish it was LTL though, don't need to see Metallica.

Yeah this would be rough for DWP after all of their marketing towards Metallica. However, Tool and RHCP are two Top Tier headliners in popularity. Would be Frusciante's first show back and Tool has their new album out. Good replacements but still rough. I'd personally be happy but I kind of hope this isn't true for the sake of people who've bought tickets just for metallica. Maybe some refunds idk

Yeah we'll see if there is an announcement today. It seems like it would be out of left field even for the die hard Metallica fans judging from the reaction on their Reddit page.
I would definitely be on the fence of getting a refund/selling my tickets or just sucking it up and going since it's just the other side of town and I still really like the Saturday lineup.
