They’re at $180 after fees, I wanna say. But I’m strongly considering upgrading to that deluxe VIP. $600 for front row-ish access to some of these headliners would be insane. And that's with more headliners possible. I have a feeling they are going to stack the hell out of this lineup to ensure they get a big jump on ticket sales. I think people are anxious to get back to concerts and festivals, and will invest early. I expect MCR to be the #1 unless they pull off someone massive like RATM or Foo. That being said, Smashing Pumpkins are kinda weak for #2, I could see one or even two more headliners. That’s a safe bet. I expect Wave 2 to be good, but then Wave 3 to be really good with a couple insane “real” headliners. I wound up getting Deluxe VIP like a day after already getting GA... feel like this lineup will be too damn good not to experience as many acts as possible.

Hate to see these threads so dead but I completely understand why they are. Just wanted to point out that IF spring/summer festivals happen next year, Tool probably won’t be headlining much. Several big festivals in europe have released their lineups and Puscifier is on there instead of Tool. I’d think the festivals would want to snag Tool after such a successful last year. Maybe Tool aren’t doing EU tours in summer though. Just trying to create conversation lol

Just trying to create conversation lol I can't begin to tell you how much I hope festivals star to just scrap the traditional release schedules and just start releasing lineups. I can understand why Spring ones don't and why maybe others don't want to announce them and then have to cancel them again but I will take anything at this point haha. I have been enjoying that some bands have started to get into studios or at least be able to play at someones house together and you've been seeing more shows or performances that aren't individual. Happy that bands like Glass Animals, Mondo Cozmo and the Killers are still putting out their albums even though they can't tour on them or anything yet.

Speaking of Glass Animals... that new album is f r e s h. I love it. I think I like it more than How to be a Human Being. Those songs will be absolutely energy filled when they can perform them live again.

goddamn i miss live music. might start going to church and get rail for some choir shit at this point. Rockmill does an outside music series, along with LandGrant. We haven't gone to them yet but have considered them for sure. The Winter is gonna be brutal though. Have we talked about the Riot Fest lineup yet? They put out phase one for next September (give us the strength to make it to a real festival season with realistic hopefulness that it can happen) and overall it isn't something I would traditionally jump on but they had some unique things on it, like Lupe Fiasco performing The Cool.

Might be going to one of those Drive In Concerts. They announced Fitz and the Tantrums and friends are talking about going. Interested to see how they are. Feels more and more like this will be the norm for a little bit longer than we had hoped.
I saw Festival Owl was saying that due to staff being almost completely laid off at these festival companies, it isn't likely to see any until late summer early fall for most festivals (I saw that Wonderbus is standing by their new dates so far and Bonnaroo announced September dates for next year). It'll be interesting if we see more cancellations and rescheduling to late 2021.
Also, maybe Bunbury related? Kentucky Motor Speedway lost their NASCAR race for next year and were advertising themselves as being open for private and commercials events and music festivals. I know we've talked about Bunbury expanding, curious if they would ever move to the speedway and turn into a camping festival? I could also see the guy that runs Sonic Temple up here moving one of his various rock festivals down there or start another one as well.

What do we think of this fam? I'm on the fence still on things (would love to hear how people's experiences at bars and stuff have been as things have been openings back up with restrictions). If venues made people do the rapid tests that are coming out before coming in or something like that then I think I could get on board rather quickly. I have heard that the NBA is planning on next year, having the games in the arenas with limited seating, and there will be a "spit in a cup Covid test" on the way in. I'd spit to go to a show. Hell, I might swallow.

Pessimist-realist here — looks like a definite that 2021 fests will be cancelled. Fucking sickens me to think, but looks likely.
Hope they fast-track a *SAFE* vaccine.

I just want our spring and summer fests to come back 🙁 I would love for them to reuse this lineup in it's entirety and brand it "Sonic Temple" instead haha. This is 100% a lineup that I would be into, as someone who isn't has hip to main stream rock these days as much as I once was. I would sign up for tickets to this, provided it was safe and all obviously.

I haven't been in here for a month or so BUT it sounds like there is a slight chance that some vaccines may become available before end of year for front line workers and those most as risk with others not considered "high risk" being able to get them into the winter/spring. That would probably open the door for festivals late spring/summer provided protocols were in place that you had to prove you got the vaccine. Obviously all wishful thinking.
