It’s disgusting that they’re out here still pushing ticket sales with sponsored ads on Facebook when they we and everybody knows it’s over.

I saw Goldenvoice cancelled all events up to June (I know they/AEG own Promowest and helped out with booking) so that would seem to signal they are very close to being the next tree to fall. I can't see Bunbury being the first big thing to happen (festival wise) after something like this.

OK, that's after Bunbury. Bunbury HAS to be done, right? If not, wild thought, there's gonna be some talent available. They could go get some big names...haha just kidding I started eating edibles during the quarantine.

They could go get some big names...haha just kidding I started eating edibles during the quarantine. Bunbury is done for sure. Bonnaroo moving to the fall all but confirmed that. Sadly, I'm betting Wonderstruck is cancelled this year and might be done too. Will be curious if Wonderbus in late August still happens. It's looking like this will be the new normal for the next 8 to 10 weeks. But even after that, will things really jump back to "normal" right away?

Bonnaroo postponing and Firefly canceling makes it obvious that Bunbury is going to cancel, but they're even telling their own employees it'll still happen. A friend who works there literally just told me how frustrated they are by the lack of info. I'm supposed to work it for an outside vendor, not for Promowest directly, and they're also saying full steam ahead, but I've written it off.

I'm starting to get very concerned about the number of festivals that are bunching up in the same few weekends this fall. They're going to compete against one another for fans and for staff, in an economy where people will have to be choosier with how they spend their money even if they don't have schedule conflicts.
I fully expect to see a lot of preventable accidents occur from festivals being understaffed, or staffed with people with no experience or qualifications.

Good on them! Hopefully this bodes well for the acts they have locked up for WonderBus. I haven't seen anyone reschedule for that weekend so I would imagine they were able to keep the same people locked in for now for that festival and probably did the best they could with WonderStruck (looks like out of the larger acts only Foster the People is out now).

Oh this is fantastic news!! Assuming things are back to normal by then, I definitely plan on going now. I guess the possibility of no live music for the foreseeable future made me realize just how badass of a little lineup this is. Sucks there's no Brittany Howard though.

I'm supposed to work it for an outside vendor, not for Promowest directly, and they're also saying full steam ahead, but I've written it off. I get the position they are in. I am part of my family's small business and I can't tell you what to expect in the next few hours, let alone months out. They are in a tough spot...their venders and artists definitely have cancellation fees and we've learned thus far that a pandemic is specifically written out of almost all insurance policies. So if they cancel now, they could lose a ton of money. If they wait until closer to the event, there's a chance that the artists or venders pull out voluntarily, OR we get an update on insurance requirements to pay for this. For example, my industry has regional trade shows. The April show was cancelled, and the August show is already cancelled. The August show they pulled the plug on because we are well outside of the cancellation fee period and can safely cancel and minimize loses. But the June show is right in the worst penalty phase for cancellation so they are waiting until the absolute last second to see if the venue cancels voluntarily or some stroke of luck happens. I imagine Bunbury is in the worst penalty phase right now. If they cancel, they lose everything. If they cancel in a month, they still lose everything. No point in being premature about cancellation. But that doesn't mean they can't reschedule..although the festival landscape will be extremely crowded in Aug/Sept.

Hello I am back and there is nothing to look forward to anymore . I need to start buying insurance on these tickets. And I think Bonnaroo is losing King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard so this is the god damn worst

I can’t go to Wonderstruck with the new dates. Unfortunately, I have a wedding that Saturday. I have 2 early birds I might be selling, 75 apiece if anyone is interested. They’re also good for next year if I can’t sell, so worst case I’m going to Cleveland next year.

Louder than Life in KY hinted at Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool, Korn, Faith No More, and Judas Priest today. On top of Metallica already being confirmed. If this is accurate it's gonna be crazy
Edit: Green Day was just hinted in a separate post. I don't imagine all of these bands could actually be on the Same Bill.
Maybe Thursday Metallica with Priest Opening Friday: Green day with Korn Opening Saturday: Tool with Deftones opening Sunday: Red Hot chili Peppers with Faith no More Opening ? Just trying to tie all of the hints together. there's no way this is right...

No one here is actually expecting Bunbury to happen in June still, right? Even if we miraculously are at the tail end of the curve by the end of May, there's still 0 chance that DeWine allows tens of thousands of people to gather so soon.

Especially if states like Kentucky or Pennsylvania or Indiana are still doing mandatory work from home (obviously Ohio would matter the most in this scenario). Also Hangout just cancelled and is apparently exploring reschedule options. September is already slammed with rescheduled festivals and I would imagine October is going to fill up quickly. I also saw Toronto just said they are doing no public events through June 30th.

If Bunbury gets cancelled? Bummer, but alright. Give me my money back, and do it by my AirBnB cancellation deadline (early May)

Fortunately my decision to hold off buying tickets after the lackluster lineup announcement has paid off and I'm not stuck holding tickets that may never be used.

I can't believe that The National Homecoming show that is scheduled for May 8 hasn't been cancelled or postponed yet. They must REALLY be trying to get a reschedule figured out.
Problem is, this isn't really just a regional festival that locals buy because it's in their backyard...this is a festival for die hard National fans that fly in from around the country.

Their only statement is that they are monitoring the situation and are actively exploring all options to move the festival. People are commenting that they have flights and hotels they have to cancel so don't wait much longer.

Has anyone had any issues in cancelling Airbnb's? I haven't done mine for Forecastle yet (and they haven't cancelled yet) but I'm considering just nixing it because I feel like they will have to cancel this year based on how everything else is going.

I had a trip to the Gorge planned the weekend of April 17th and just cancelled my Airbnb without an issue. Full refund. I am about to cancel my one in Michigan just waiting on the Artie Lange show I am going to be postponed or cancelled. It's June 20th. Don't see that happening. His drug issues aside or not.
