Has anyone had any issues in cancelling Airbnb's? I haven't done mine for Forecastle yet (and they haven't cancelled yet) but I'm considering just nixing it because I feel like they will have to cancel this year based on how everything else is going. I had a Europe trip booked in May and my Airbnb in Portugal, Germany, and Spain gave me a full refund.

Wonderstruck is going to let you use your passes for Wonderbus as an alternative option. Very nice of them to offer that. I can’t make Wonderstruck, but Wonderbus I can, so hoping we get a similar lineup.

I can’t make Wonderstruck, but Wonderbus I can, so hoping we get a similar lineup. This is awesome. Obviously we have no idea what will be allowed at that point but it feels like if everyone does that part then Wonderbus may get to be one of the first ones that can actually happen (it also helps that it'll be attended by people in Ohio and not likely many people outside of that state?) I also cancelled my airbnb for Forecastle and had no issues with them not immediately offering a refund. Well in a few days but overall they didn't hassle me about doing a credit or anything like that!

Buku Fest, which postponed to Labor Day weekend has officially canceled. Festive Owl says to expect more postponed fests to cancel soon.

I bet the battle for artists will start to cause some of these festivals that postponed to have to cancel bc even though they locked down dates, they cant get enough artists to make it work.

Buckle up, kids — some sources are saying this will go into 2021, and possibly even 2022.
RIP all of us.

Forecastle officially cancelled. I don't see any festivals happening this year. Hopefully 2021. Maybe some smaller tours in the fall, but nothing this summer.

Definitely feels like until we can get a vaccine max produced, or at minimum anti-body tests, that there is no way they'll permit festivals to happen. Feels like they are the LAST thing to come back (before sports and concerts) because of the amount of people that go to them and people traveling from everywhere to go to them.

Even if they move forward against recommendations, I can imagine bands pulling out on their own.

Gov. DeWine just said that big events such as concerts will start again near the end of the state reopening.

Gov. DeWine just said that big events such as concerts will start again near the end of the state reopening. Did he give an idea of when each Phase would be considered "successful" to move into the next one? I would love for them to come back for sure but am hopeful it's also strategically done and nothing that seems too rushed. Either way, I'm excited to get to a show sometime in hopefully the near future!

I'm hearing Indiana (which is coordinating with Ohio) is probably looking at mid to late May when we start lifting restrictions. I am still hopeful for concerts returning by October or November.

Ugh, I'm so sad. I've still got tickets to Alanis, Foxy, Tenacious D, and Railbird fest that are all before that. And this was the summer that I *really* focused on presales and dropped some coin on good seats!

Trifesta events are carncelled. Louder than Life, Bourbon & Beyond, and Hometown Rising. Sad but understandable. Here’s to 2021 concerts

The Hollywood Reporter @thr · 3m New: Saudi Arabia buys $500 million stake In Live Nation
I wonder if this will have any impact on their festivals next year. Not necessarily lineups but will this cause them to get rid of festivals, keep the same, try new ones?

Not necessarily lineups but will this cause them to get rid of festivals, keep the same, try new ones? Wow, that's only a 5.7 percent stake. Live Nation is huuuuuge. I think that makes it an 8.7 billion evaluation?? Am I doing that math right? The article said it was a passive investment, meaning they bought the shares on the open market. So they don't have a controlling stake or a say in operations it appears. But I do think they could exert some influence if they wanted. To me it sounds like they were just trying to get a good deal on some stock. Live Nation was previously around $80 a share in February and they bought in for $37 a share. Good to be cash rich right now!

Good to be cash rich right now! That is insane! I never realized they were worth that much. I'd love to see a list of festivals they have a hand in directly or indirectly (via a company that they own stock in) vs. like AEG vs. independent companies. I saw that Donnie Disco (I think that's what they are called) recently purchased back all of their ownership stakes from whoever they had some part of it to a few years ago.

Duuuude. First wave of Riot Fest 2021 came out. Got my ticket already — no-brainer. The first wave is better than Bunbury has ever had for a line up.. and two waves to go!

Facing brilliant move being the first to drop a 2021 lineup. With everyone getting refunds from 2020 shows, this was GREAT timing.

I think because they were quick to secure the September date next year and contact bands they were able to get such a great top of the lineup! I know it's all uncertain right now but I have to think based on what people are saying conservatively about a potential vaccine, that September of 2021 should be ok to have a festival? If this is just lineup drop one, are they just doing it as Top, Middle, Bottom or lineup? Or will those acts get shuffled around? Because if it's a mixed bag then this lineup could get even BIGGER

I just got a GA ticket... tempting to upgrade to Deluxe VIP since Shaky got cancelled, but the stage views don’t look to be worth it.
And AC’d bathrooms shouldn’t be super necessary. What will it be? Like 75ish that weekend?
Open bar sounds cool but I’m not drinking $500 in booze. Ha.

My budget next year for festivals might be inflated due to lack of live music for a year+

But I’m strongly considering upgrading to that deluxe VIP. $600 for front row-ish access to some of these headliners would be insane.

But I’m strongly considering upgrading to that deluxe VIP. $600 for front row-ish access to some of these headliners would be insane. And that's with more headliners possible. I have a feeling they are going to stack the hell out of this lineup to ensure they get a big jump on ticket sales. I think people are anxious to get back to concerts and festivals, and will invest early. I expect MCR to be the #1 unless they pull off someone massive like RATM or Foo. That being said, Smashing Pumpkins are kinda weak for #2, I could see one or even two more headliners.
