Ok, shout out to Louisville for being a surprisingly great city for festivals. They have three different, but uniquely solid fests this year with Forecastle, Bourbon and Beyond, and Louder than Life. All three dropped really strong lineups this year. for their respective bases. And that “Hometown Rising” country Festival. I don’t know country but I’d imagine it’s good nah...it's country...

I only know from what MBFP brings to town but I think this is a pretty good lineup for the Rap/Bass scene. Bassnecter alone will naturally move a crazy amount of tickets

sorry idk how to get that image smaller lmao Blink 182 strikes again lol Since it's in Cali I bet this is one of the rare shows they actually end up doing. That lineup is speaking to my high school/college years ... I'm intrigued by what that Exit 111 Festival at the Bonnaroo farm lands is able to pull off.

Pretty much all of the rock festivals have insane lineups this year. Seems like Sonic Temple/Rock on the Range is no longer the #1

Pretty much all of the rock festivals have insane lineups this year. Seems like Sonic Temple/Rock on the Range is no longer the #1 I disagree with that. I do believe Epicenter is close to being the next big thing, and most of the other festivals (aftershock, louder than life, Exit 111) have fantastic Lineups. But Sonic Temple still has the largest amount of currently popular and sought after bands. System of a Down has been the #1 most requested band for the Eastern Festivals with Iron Maiden, Rammstein, and Foo Fighters following Suite (they had metallica 2 years ago and of course they were highly requested). I think Next years Festivals (2020) are going to be the deciding factor for the #1 fest as the 3 largest (Sonic Temple, Exit 111, and Epicenter) are all on their inaugural year.

I’d go to this but I’m broke, going to bunbury, shaky knees and day one of forecastle, and I don’t think my 96’ Camry could handle driving 6 hours each way. You know it’s a good car when it’s older than you and it still works lol

GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT AND BOOK LIMP BIZKIT DAMN IT! *also Guns n' Roses but primarily Limp Bizkit

So, Woodstock 50 isn’t happening anymore. Damn! That's big news!Honestly, if the festival was closer to me, I for sure would have bought tickets. Interesting fact I found was that the majority of the artists were already paid and do not have to give the money back

Ouch. What a damn shame. That was truly a gem of a lineup. Random thought, but I wonder if Firefly or Governors Ball don't try to book on of the many headliners from Woodstock as a last minute addition, particularly Governors Ball. I have a feeling that Woodstock snatching up all the A-list headliners is what left them with a weak lineup. I could see them adding someone above Tyler, the Creator

So, Woodstock 50 isn’t happening anymore. So, apparently the cancellation was announced by the financial backers, who have backed out. Promoters and organizers are vehemently denying cancellation and trying to find a new financial partner, but have delayed ticket on-sale. This is wild.

I guess companies like AEG and Goldenvoice (I think those were the two, but I know it was a big name) offered something like$20Mil and were denied

Or, if it does, it'll be a huge mess. I've got my popcorn out to watch though

Its nice to see a festival investing multiple strong alternative/rock/indie headliners rather than just lazily booking a bunch of rap and pop acts then adding the Lumineers or Vampire weekend as an attempt to still call it an alternative festival.

Is it just me, or do these hard rock festivals seem to be growing in popularity? Pretty cool that this one is on the lawn of the haunted Mansfield Reformatory though. Very cool place if you have never been there
