Festive Owl reports low ticket sales for Exit 111. Looks like it'll be somewhere between 25-30k for the weekend. damn that's brutal. especially since they have a killer lineup filled with classic rock/metal bands. If that were in Columbus, I definitely would've gone. I don't think I'm ever gonna get the chance to yell "FREE BIRD" and have a band actually play it...

If you ever see The Interrupters live, they have a part of the show where the guitarist sings it and jokes about how its always been his dream to play it in front of a crowd haha

Based on some rumors that look to be true. Next year's rock/metal circuit through DWP. Slipknot/Judas Priest to attend all of them as well (if true). I know none of these bands will be at bunbury but I thought some people might be interested. If this turns out to be true I think Louisville will officially dethrone Columbus for #1 rock fest. System will draw a larger crowd than Maiden without a doubt in my mind. Especially after Louder than Life establishing such a dominant scene. Metallica just got announced for LTL, a two day set.

I suppose the rumors I saw could still be true but I'm doubtful now. Sad day for people who want to see a variety of bands for a reasonable ticket price.

The two sets thing is weird unless they play different songs or do like their S&M show one of them. I’ll probably go to it for the first time based on that since tickets seem to be pretty reasonable. Interested to see who else they book. People online dont seem to love the idea of the two nights deal.

Lollapalooza has announced the lineups for their South American festivals. All three are headlined by Guns N Roses, Travis Scott, The Strokes, Lana Del Rey Vampire Weekend, Gwen Stefani, Cage the Elephant, and Lumineers. Pretty impressive lineup, considerably better than last year's, and many of the headliners last year were all over the festival circuit

Okeechobee in Florida is returning and a poster that looks legit has been leaked. Headliners are Mumford & Sons, Vampire Weekend and Bassnectar. Notable undercard acts include Glass Animals, HAIM, Tipper, Kaskade, Alison Wonderland, Big Gigantic and Bob Moses. Lineup is a bit EDM heavy for my taste but would be a solid return for Okee after a hiatus. Also, indicative that Mumford and Vampire Weekend will be back on the festival circuit. VW seems very likely and I think Mumford is very possible too. Glass Animals would be a great get as well if they're back on the road

VW feels more and more like a lock as other festivals start to have headliners leak. Have we heard anything about Governors Ball or Bonnaroo rumors yet?

I asked by friend in CAAMP and he said the lineup looks right. Said that when their manager books them in a festival, they also give them a few names of other artists that have signed

Glass Animals would be a very good booking for the 6-8 line. Blood Orange is on there as well. I saw them open up for Florence in May and really enjoyed it. That'd be a nice undercard addition

With the Taylor Swift Lover Fest tickets going on sale right now, there's already speculation who will be opening. I got two tickets to the Massachusetts show and I intended to give them as a gift to friend living in that area but I still think Swift could land a pretty awesome lineup if we get some from this list: -Lizzo -Mumford & Sons -King Princess -Sufjan Stevens -Ed Sheeran -Chance the Rapper -Lana Del Rey -Ingrid Michaelson -Todrick Hall -Katy Perry -Joe Alwyn -Meredith and Olivia -Phoebe Waller-Bridge -Brendon Urie -Jack Antonoff -Head and The Heart -Bon Iver -HAIM -Carly Rae Jepsen

Been looking through some forums that are discussing coachella...The leading rumor appears to be Tool, Travis Scott and Lana Del Rey. Coldplay and Justin Timberlake are rumored as well. Not finding any real concrete rumors for Roo yet.

Their tour is selling very well and they had Tame Impala as a headliner last year. Tool makes more sense to me for Coachella than that did. Also, Tool headlined Coachella back in 06.

Well after a few months hiatus from the board, I've come back for Festival Rumors and announcements season! Just got back from Lexington for a stellar as usual Avett Brother show and I've already got my tickets for Sonic Temple for next year. I for one am excited about Metallica headlining. By the way, they did announce two different sets for the two nights. I'm hoping for a big surprise for headliner number 3, but it's probably going to be Slipknot if the rumors are correct. We will see. Really wishing Rage Against the Machine would come up here but I'm not holding my breath.
Looking forward to getting back into festival discussion!

Ohio is a pretty big swing state... you gotta imagine RATM might stop here in 2020 bc I think most people are assuming they’re back together for the election year

I don't know how many people are interested in this kind of festival, but Shovels and Rope have curated a nice little festival the last few years down in South Carolina in April called The High Water Festival. It's a bit more folk/alt country than most of the festivals we talk about, but it's certainly worth a gander if you enjoy more of a laid back small festival.
The headliners are Wilco, Nathaniel Rateliff, Brittany Howard (From The Alabama Shakes) and Shovels and Rope.
Other acts include Mavis Staples, Andrew Bird, Drive By Truckers, and others...

Three fans injured during a stampede at Tarvis Scott's Astro World festival. He actually encouraged that behavior on Instagram. This is not the first time there have been riots or stampedes at his events. If someone from PromoWest sees this, please, PLEASE do not book him.

I saw something where thousands of people blew through barricades outside and got in. Was this the incident you're talking about?

I saw something where thousands of people blew through barricades outside and got in. Was this the incident you're talking about? Yeah that's the one. Travis himself posted the video of it on Instagram with the caption "DA YOUTH DEM CONTROL THE FREQUENCY. EVERYONE HAVE FUN. RAGERS SET TONE WHEN I COME OUT TONIGHT. BE SAFE RAGE HARD. AHHHHHHHHHHH" That's not at all the type of vibes I want at Bunbury next year. I don't have a problem with a rap headliner, but stuff like this seems to follow him. Something similar happened when the first night of the Astroworld tour was abruptly postponed and fans started vandalizing the arena and attacking concert security.

I’m predicting Lizzo as one of the headliners. Also kind of thinking Vampire Weekend would be another.

If it was like a Lizzo, Vampire Weekend and Green Day or something like that, how would we feel about the headliners? Green Day is in Europe sadly, but I think Lizzo and Vampire Weekend are VERY likely. Other possible headliners include Mumford, Panic!, Lumineers, MCR, or someone along those lines. I also heard Lorde will be back in 2020, so I think she'd make a lot of sense as well. But I don't see both Lizzo and Lorde headlining. A few high undercard acts that make sense are Portugal. the Man, Of Monsters and Men, Glass Animals, The Head and the Heart, Chvrches, Walk the Moon, Revivalists, and Grouplove. I'm seriously hoping we get some of those for the undercard.

They have to be getting close to headliner status for festivals. Maybe after this forthcoming album. Saint Motel will also be active next year. I could see them on the undercard.

PTM might actually be big enough to crack the top 3 at Bunbury.

I like PTM but their live sets are kind of... whatever.
Lizzo puts on a hell of a show, whether you’re a fan or not. Vampire Weekend was pretty nasty at MoPop last year, so I’d gladly see them again. I also suspect they’ll be playing Shaky Knees the month before.
I’d like to see The Killers back, but I wouldn’t count on that. I feel like Bunbury is a fest that would go hard for My Chemical Romance, since they always seem to want to dig into that sort of sound with at least one act.
VAMPIRE WEEKEND + LIZZO + MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE
Weird ass threesome of headliners, but I’d be okay with it, assuming there’s a strong undercard. I also wouldn’t be too surprised to see Tame Impala, Vampire Weekend, and Lizzo as headliners, with My Chemical Romance closing Yeatman’s Cove Stage one of the nights.
