Wonder who will end up on that. I don't remember the previous lineups really.

Wonder who will end up on that. I don't remember the previous lineups really. It was a nice little lineup. The National, Father John Misty, Feist, Future Islands, The Breeders, Lord Huron, Julien Baker, Moses Sumney, Alvvays, and Big Thief. I'm looking forward to seeing what they put together this year. I'm sure The National have the pull to bring in some decent acts if they chose to.

Red Hot Chili Peppers AND Foo Fighters headlining Boston Calling May 22nd - 24th. That is kind of bonkers. Those are always kind of the 2 bands people throw around for rock headliners at some of the bigger festivals and Boston Calling got both of em.

Not to mention the boast 60! additional artists. Is that festival that big? I didn't think it was but I must be very mistake. has anyone ever been to it? Just counted last year's acts. 62 total artists. That's exactly the amount they are boasting about. That number includes 4 to 5 acts in the comedy tent per day. In case anyone is curious, we did not share any of their Headliners last year but one of our Headliners, Greta Van Fleet was the first act on the second line at Boston Calling last year.

I haven't, but they consistently book pretty massive headliners, although Foo Fighters and RHCP is indeed impressive. In 2017 they booked Tool, Mumford and Sons and Chance the Rapper. 2018 they had Jack White, The Killers and Eminem (with a STACKED undercard that included Queens of the Stone Age, The National, Paramore, and Portugal. the Man.) I think fans were let down by last year's lineup of Twenty One Pilots, Travis Scott and Tame Impala. I bet this is their way to try to build the hype back up. From the positive feedback, I'd say its working.

Shaky knees lineup is out on Wednesday, we've shared headliners several times before so I'm excited to see who they grab I am starting to convince myself they could get the Strokes. In which if that's the case I could see us and Hangout also getting the Strokes, or one of the other. I did see Festival Owl saying that RHCP or Foo will be at Hangout so maybe the Strokes wouldn't play there. Anyways, someone mentioned them earlier but now I'm starting to think they could be a possibility for a few festivals.

Very strong top 3 if true I'll pass on the Killers since they've already been to Bunbury although it was fun. I'd guess if anything we'd get the Strokes which I'd love to see. Would like MMJ as well and I think they're pretty "iconic but not mainstream" but there's no way Bunbury goes for them IMO

They've headlined Forecastle before and are from Kentucky, so I think the chances are high if they are indeed doing festivals next year.

I'd love to grab MMJ for Bunbury, but like everyone else said, doubt that it happens. Seems like too much of a psychedelic "jam" band for Bunbury's style even though they've had The Flaming Lips which you could argue are moderately similar in style?

Epicenter has an awesome undercard but the top lines are kinda poopy. Some really great strides forward with Jinjer, Ghostmane, Ice9kills, and 3teeth. One band that caught my eye is brass against. That's pretty dope. Also surprised to see Code orange so far up, above some pretty big bands. I hope the rest of the spring festivals avoid Disturbed and Godsmack. They are worn out at these fests. Also, pls no Skynyrd.

There's a few bands on that Epicenter lineup that I'd like to see show up at Sonic Temple, but surprisingly looking at last year's lineup EpiCenter and Sonic Temple only shared a handful of acts and only like two on the top two lines. We already know Metallica is going to be there. I didn't go into the very bottom of the lineup to compare though.

There are some solid acts on there but a lot of those acts were at Sonic Temple pretty recently so I would think we don't see a lot of those top lined people at Sonic Temple this year either. Sometimes these festivals seem to share a ton of the same acts and other times it feels like they are all completely different. It'll be interesting to see which way that trends this year.
I saw people on reddit speculating the Sonic Temple lineup coming on Black Friday. I also saw they will be releasing a clue that will give another artist today (probably the Saturday headliner) through the same coding they did for Metallica.
Does anyone have that original leak that stated headliners for the rock festivals? Was Epicenter correct on that leak?

The only acts I saw that were being rumored for these Danny Wimmer festivals were Metallica, Slipknot, and AC/DC with Brian Johnson. The rumor said Slipknot would be playing all of the festivals with Metallica. We can at least rule that part of the rumor out now. That doesn't mean they won't be playing some of the Wimmer Festivals.

This is the first year I've gotten tickets to the festival and outside of some nu-metal bands (which I wont name because I'll get made fun of) ACDC would be definitely the band I would want for Saturday if they are realistically available again.

AC/DC was hinted at for Epicenter early on in the year but something must have changed. Could be seeing them at a different festival I suppose or AC/DC didn't pull through with the tour. Leaks/rumors were wrong. I'm personally hoping for Rage on Saturday but would not be surprised to see AC/DC.

They posted an alphabet cipher thing like they did last year. Odds are they release a one word hint that relates to the band. Watch it be "reunion" just to screw with people. So many bands have announced a reunion tour in the past month lmao Also, lineup drops on Cyber Monday December 2nd.

Damn, way too many people trying to claim knowing things who don't even know the right dates, probably just trying to troll the boards like the one guy who shows up here every year days before the lineup release haha. Silly Season!

The Sonic Temple hint decoded to "Can you hear the silence" which is a lyric from the song Can you Feel My Heart by Bring Me The Horizon.
They were a second line act at Epicenter last year so it makes sense.

Seemingly to make up for not playing last year. Will probably open up for Saturdays headliner. Can't see BMTH opening for Metallica. Just two different fanbases in my opinion.
