When will the daily schedule come out for Forecastle? I have this anxiety they will put Chromeo and Jungle on at the same time. Last year, it came out May 30. I am nervous for Friday and Sunday conflicts.

Jungle and Chromeo are 5 and 6, not 4 and 5. Last year #6 Rainbow Kitten Surprise played the main stage at 6 and #5 Jai Wolf played the stage under the overpass at 7. I expect they put Chromeo on the Ocean stage, which is the one under the overpass, typically more edm, hip hop or dance rock. My guess is Jungle will be on the Mast stage sometime around 6, Portugal the Man will follow on the Mast stage closer to 8, and Judah will close out the Boom stage right before the Killers.

Sounds like I might be doing a lot of running around if this plays out that way. I just saw Portugal the Man last summer so if there is one I am willing to miss most of the set of it's them but the Jungle running to Chromeo is gonna be stressful lol

What is this Late Night on the Belle thing I got an email about? Do some acts play extra sets after the festival is over?

What is this Late Night on the Belle thing I got an email about? Do some acts play extra sets after the festival is over? I’ve never been, but I believe there are shows around midnight featuring acts not on the lineup. Typically 20-25 dollars. They’ve had Lord Huron, Dr. Dog, New Pornographers, and Robert Delong in the past. They announce them Tuesday the 14th.

Late night shows announced, Chromeo Friday and Moon Taxi Saturday. Tickets are 30 bucks each, not included with the 3 day pass. I don’t really get the idea here, why would I pay 30 dollars for a band I just saw on a 3 day lineup I paid 200 for? That is one thing Bunbury got right this year.

PRAYING this isn't mandatory:
NEW this year - Register your wristband and sign up to go cashless at Forecastle! More details coming soon.

PRAYING this isn't mandatory: NEW this year - Register your wristband and sign up to go cashless at Forecastle! More details coming soon. The cashless thing COULD be amazing if it was implemented correctly.\: 1) Bake the "activation" fee into the price of my ticket so I don't think I am actually paying for it 2) Don't make me "add funds" to the band. Rather have a direct link to credit/debit card to pass through charges 3) STILL accept cash/cards at all vendors

Not to mention the website to load the funds was abysmal and they charged you to pull your unused money off it. Hopefully the company who runs it have drastically approved!

Pretty sure that was 2016 which was the same year that Promowest Fest did it. Definitely not the best website but I just loaded way way more than I expected I needed and then just paid the $8 to get my money back after the weekend. I thought it was B.S. but truthfully thought it went pretty smooth. But that was in Columbus where literally no one was there so it wasn't busy to get in beer or food lines.

I'm still shocked they didn't try to just fine tune that festival and bring it back or something new. Instead you have Wonderbus coming to town and partnering with the community and doing a lot of what Promowest could have been doing.

This is fantastic news. I was hoping it would be more of apple/chase pay type thing if they were going to do cashless. I'm cool with this development. Is there usually a registration fee? I know at Bonnaroo when I went I had to register my wristband but it was free and it was in order to track people on their last location (in or out of the festival grounds) in case someone got lost. Or at least that's what they told us haha.

First Aid Kit and Highly Suspect both dropped out. Ahh, good catch, did not see that. I prefer Cold War Kids anyway, but that sucks for anyone hoping to see Highly Suspect. They did a good job finding replacements quickly though.

First Aid Kit and Highly Suspect both dropped out. I saw on facebook, somehow the lead singer of First Aid Kit personally added me on facebook, that he left the band very recently. That'd be my guess as to why they dropped out. No idea on what Highly Suspect did.

I just looked and it sounds like they are stating some medical situations have caused them to cancel their entire upcoming tour.

Full schedule is out now! Well balanced, a few minor overlaps but nothing that really worries me. Pretty satisfied with this schedule. Might have to hightail it from Jungle to The Killers but I don't need to be front row or anything so it shouldn't make a big difference. Saturday and Sunday will be big days for me wondering around and hopefully discovering new acts since I'm not nearly as familiar with those days acts as I am with Friday. Big Wild and Nelly at that same time kind of bummed me but I'm sure I can find a way to catch parts of both and then check out Maggie Rogers

Ocean Stage is under the overpass just across from the main lawn, so even if you're still walking to the stage, you'll hear everything. Boom Stage is more difficult because its on the other side of a canal/water feature that has limited bridge access so it bottle necks super fast.

Yeah, crossing over to the Boom Stage side of the fest isn't too bad most of the day, but once you get toward 6 or 7 when the big acts start to play, it gets clogged up. I think it took an extra 5 or 6 minutes to get across that little bridge when everyone was leaving Vance Joy and going to Modest Mouse. I think some people were just running through the canal instead, which is like 2 or 3 feet deep. Good place to cool of, except last year they had a massive row of porta pots right there so it stank to high heaven.
