Pretty sure the post about the lineup drop is a clue. Could it be Andrew WK? Know next to nothing about him. Ha Hm really? I asked them about a clue and they did a Spongebob shoulder shrug gif. Maybe that's why... Ha. Yeah, that response is what made me think it actually is a clue. They have done stuff like that in the past.

They have done stuff like that in the past. Definitely feels like Andrew WK would be the person then. I can't think of anyone else that would be even remotely close enough to pull from that vague of a clue. Everything about his act is about partying and he does tour a lot now with a full band and what not so I could see him being there.

Andrew W.K is such a good live act. I’ve seen them twice and met the band once. They are all super nice. If you have the opportunity to see him, try not to miss it

Since The Strokes and The 1975 are headlining MoPop, wouldn’t be shocked if one of them headlines Forecastle since it’s the week before.

Today's clue looks to possibly be pointing to Blink 182. I can't even begin to get into how tired I am of hearing about Blink 182.

The logic behind that clue being Blink is a pretty big stretch. Also, Blink is NOT the type of band Forecastle typically books. I'll be very surprised if they're on the lineup.

The ghost definitely is Blinky from Pac Man though. The bouquet in my mind could point to First Date. The Boxing Glove for Boxing Day speaks for itself. Not sure about the Umbrella one but it makes sense.

Couldn't figure out for the life of me how the clues fit.

The other two make sense. That would be so much better than Blink so I hope they are right.

Judging by their instagram, Glass Animals are announcing US tour dates tomorrow morning. Really hoping for a Forecastle shaped gap in the dates the announce.

My guess is they either play at Forecastle or at Iroquois Amphitheater the week before/after Bonnaroo. Last time they were at Bonnaroo they played at Iroquois the Monday after.

Glass Animals dates announced today only go through mid March. That is disappointing for sure but I guess we should have expected it since some of the festivals they are doing are in the Spring. I really hope they come back over here this Summer for shows. It doesn't feel like they have stuff for an album yet so I don't expect any new album news until late 2020 or 2021.

All those venues are 500ish capacity so there's no way that's their only tour this year unless they're just doing a few small shows to get back in the groove of things

Was talking with several interns at my work today and found out all three of them have been to Forecastle and LOVE it. None of them are very familiar with Bunbury, nor have they seriously considered it. Take that for what it's worth.

IF we are to assume that perhaps that post the other day was actually a hidden Captain's Clue and it was Andrew WK. Then I'm guess when Forecastle put this out today it could lead to Queens of the Stone Age.....which I definitely have my doubts about since they have ZERO dates lined up for this year so far but who knows? Wishful thinking?
Forecastle Festival @forecastle · 12m You could go with the float or you could be prepared! 🙌🌊Here are some important tips for purchasing your tickets next Wednesday at 12pm EST:

The reason I say that is that this post has info/tips about purchasing tickets. It’s the random posts with images/gifs/memes that are usually clues. Last year, for example, they posted a picture of someone with two fingers up in front of the wheel and it said ‘Get ready to take the ride’ which was a clue for Moon Taxi.

I am hesitant to conclude that either of those are clues. i think people are reading too much into them, much like last year. Last year there was a social media post referencing "the golden hour" on the waterfront, which everyone rushed to assume was confirmation of Kacey Musgraves. It could've been a complete coincidence, but I think it's more likely that they dropped that in there to build up some more hype and buzz, without explicitly misleading people.

The main reason I believe the one earlier (possibly Andrew WK) was a clue was the Spongebob reply from Forecastle. Had they not responded that way I would have just ignored it. But, yes, there was speculation that the ‘golden hour’ image last year was a clue for Kasey Musgraves and she wasn’t on the lineup. I’m curious to see if Andrew WK is on the lineup this year to prove/disprove the theory.

I will see if I can get any more info before the announcement. I know some people associated with the fest but I don’t like to ask because I don’t want to put them in a bad spot or annoy them.

There's some speculation on Reddit that Glass Animals will be at Forecastle. Someone on Facebook asked them if they're coming to Louisville soon, and the band replied "yes".
