<button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> Okay! I'm happy about this! Interesting that Indy went from zero music festivals, to 2 rock/alternative heavy ones in the same year. Will be interesting to see if both can actually have longevity or if one kills the other off. I'll have to see what tickets are and what other bands get added later. But I'm happy to see PTM, and would like to see John Fogerty.

I went to the site and it showed pricing and what looking like an active "buy" scenario. That's as far as I went though

I am surprised the schedule for WonderRoad still hasn’t been announced. 16 days away.

Wonderbus and Wonderstruck are doing a Buy One get one for a dollar deal. For current ticket holders, they are giving the option for a free 2023 pass or a free upgrade to VIP this year? Anyone done VIP here before? According to website,
– Various bands across three stages
– Exclusive VIP Festival Entrance
– Special VIP Viewing for Main Stages
– VIP ONLY LOUNGE Featuring: Buffet Lunch and Dinner Service, Soft Drinks, Water
– Private Bar Access (Adults Only)
– Air-Conditioned Restrooms
Not sure if it’s worth it over free 2023 passes.

I just saw this too.... I bought 2 tickets on early bird so not sure how they'll handle that I was thinking of upgrading to vip for the wife and I, but not sure if I can do for both on this deal. How low are the ticket sales that they are resorting to that?? Holy crap that's scary.
I guess that is what happens when you have shitty lineups.

Doesn’t really make sense to only offer to 1 person, and not everyone. Is 1 person supposed to sit VIP alone while everyone else chills in GA? Odd.

So I misread that whole post yesterday lol. I bought 3 tickets, my option is to use the price of 1 ticket for a VIP upgrade credit. It’ll be way more for all 3, or I can get an additional Wonderbus or Wonderstruck ticket. So if anyone wants a cheap ticket, let me know. Could sell for 75-100. My brother is gonna do that too, so we should have 2 to sell cheap.

The price of one ticket per order, here is the response I got after asking to upgrade all 3 of our GA to VIP.. Hi there. The offer is on one additional ticket or the value of that ticket put towards VIP. Therefore, you would have a $99 credit – for the three of you – for a VIP upgrade. If still interested, Emily and Elise will provide full pricing. But there is a significant cost to do what you are asking. Alternatively, we can provide a fourth GA weekend ticket at no cost. So basically I paid 99 plus fees for each ticket, since I bought 3 together, I could only deduct 99 if I were to upgrade to VIP. If I had 3 separate orders, I could have used 99 for all 3 tickets as a credit to upgrade to VIP.

WonderRoad released its map and set times. I am a little surprised the map is so bad honestly. It shows a map of the festival grounds but nothing else. Garfield Park is a very large property, and based on the footprint of Wonderbus, I assume they will only be using a fraction of the park. The map does not actually show the festival in relation to the park or any of the main roads around the park. It also does not show parking areas nor the rideshare drop/pickup location.
The good news is, I live five minutes away and plan to roll by there in the next few days as they begin setting up, so if anyone from outside Indy is going and has questions, let me know.

Update: I did roll by the park yesterday, and construction on the festival is well underway, with stages already being assembled. For anyone wondering, the festival site is in the southwestern part of the park off Pagoda drive. The limited parking did sell out in advance, and the festival did advise that additional parking will be available at Manual High School or Emma Donnan Middle School. They did not clarify if this is paid parking or not. However Manual is at least a 15 minute walk, and Emma Donnan is shown as a 30 minute walk which seems ridiculous.
My advice? Just try to find street parking in the residential neighborhoods just south of the park. These streets have plentiful free parking and I don't see all of them filling up, even with the festival. It's about a five to ten minute walk depending on which street you park on. I recommend trying Southern Ave directly across from the park first and moving south from there. These neighborhoods are safe, I've spent a lot of time in this part of town.

The festival said that as of yesterday, less than 600 tickets remain. They are expecting 20,000 over two days, which is a great start for this event. If I recall, the inaugural Wonderbus was about 15k over two days, so they're definitely on the right track. I am curious to see how the success of this event impacts the AllIN festival in September. They really are very similar in vibes and genres, and WonderRoad got a head start, and the better venue tbh. Garfield Park definitely says "festival vibes" more than the Fairgrounds. Also find it interesting that AllIN will have one of the main stages in the fairgrounds Coliseum (a small hockey arena that seats about 6,500). Just doesn't scream "music festival" to me.

For anyone that went, how was WonderRoad? I only made it to the first day but it was incredible. Very similar to year 1 of WonderBus that I went to. Pleasantly surprised by the undercard. I bought tickets very late and didn't do much research. I started off with Detention and they put on a really good performance. Next up was The Vindys and they were incredible. I met up with them after and had a nice little chat. I snuck over to catch a couple songs by Ripe and then went to watch GoldPark. They were one I didn't want to miss. Great show... Played several of my favorites and covered Radiohead. Caught the last 5 or 6 from Wrabel, he was amazing. I grabbed a layer lunch and caught MotherFolk {very fun} and John Harvie who I didn't know much about at all but really had a great set. Finished it off with a terrific set by CHVRCHES and Vampire Weekend. This was my first concert\festival going by myself. I had a lot of fun. WonderBus was great. I decided against going today as the rain was pretty heavy early and I just wasn't up for a wet day. I'm sure it was great and hope the anyone who went got to check out Des Rocs.... He is fantastic

i thought it was cool. i went both days in VIP. a few small complaints: early bird being $425 for a 2-day fest and not including beer was pricey. they also increased booze prices in the VIP area on the second day for the White Claw which was a slap in the balls.
but, the layout of the festival and the location of the VIP area was great.
my big complaint is what it always is at festivals with a dedicated “VIP only” viewing area — a bunch of people (if not most) in that area had GA wristbands. they really gotta start watching people closer who are going in there. VIP really felt lacking when that was coupled with the $2 price increase on (granted, one kind of) alcohol.
overall it was definitely a well-run first year festival.
