I just got tickets to the Is for Lovers festival. I couldn’t say no to that lineup. I don’t think I’ve been to Riverbend. How many stages does this venue typically set up for festivals? I know it’s just a one day fest, but I don’t think they could fit very band on one stage.

Maybe warped tour back in the day. I don't remember where those where

Glad WonderRoad sounds like a success. I never went to Warped Tour, not sure if multiple stages will be used. Perhaps, they’ll use the Riverbend stage and PNC Pavilion stage. As for WonderRoad, did anyone see Ripe? They’re coming to Braxton Brewery for the Paradise Music and Beer Festival. It’s free and they’re headlining Saturday, July 9. Their new song “Settling” is all over Alt Nation. I’ve checked them out and really like what I’m hearing. I’m planning on going to Braxton that night.

Went to Rage against the Machine last week in Cleveland. Probably the best band I’ve ever seen. Crowd was awesome. I’ll be at Kemba on Saturday for Beartooth. Really looking forward to this show.

i miss bunbury. fml.
i went to mopop and got sweated on and helped keep davey from glass animals on the rail. memorable af. BUT my god, the VIP was awful. bunbury far and away had the best value VIP around. the only value in mopop’s VIP was the short entry line.
i figure the whole shaky knees/music midtown/georgia debacle’s been discussed here somewhere? i had already gotten a hotel near the park — thankfully with cancellable reservations. 😮💨
also — i had planned on going to is for lovers but my dumb ass friend is getting married that day. eff.

Some good news for Indy folks...I talked to to a buddy of mine at the Indy Parks Department who said WonderRoad has a three year contract with the city, so it will definitely be back the next two years. Reception and ticket sales exceeded expectations, despite competition from All In Festival.

I figured there was an issue with WonderRoad and the locals weren't happy or something

I figured there was an issue with WonderRoad and the locals weren't happy or something I think it's a road construction issue from what I've heard. I know there were a few people that were unhappy with the pool and park being closed for a few days but nothing widespread. Interestingly enough, AllIN Festival says they have a ten year contract with the State Fairgrounds for their festival. Both have similar lineups and niches....I don't see them coexisting.

My wife and I both just got offered 2 free weekend pass {total of 4} for a "do more Indy" thing we signed up for

Have spent the last 3 days at Bourbon & Beyond. First time going to this festival and I must say that it is a horrible experience.
Once you are in you are not allowed to leave, sight lines are terrible, food/beverages are completely overpriced ($15 for a slice of pizza??), too few water stations and they are at the very back of the grounds, the side by side stage setup is bad, their payment systems keep going down so you have to make sure to have cash, it’s so dang loud (and I don’t mind things loud, but this is over the top), the way the vip section is so big thar the closest you can get without ir is maybe 80/100 feet (I feel bad for bands earlier in the day), and I could go on.
The lineup is solid and Pearl Jam is what drew me, but I won’t be attending this one again. (And I live in Louisville).

When I saw pictures of years prior and the festival grounds, I was getting Woodstock '99 vibes. My wife was interested but I was envisioning exactly what you were talking about. No thanks. I want a festival with places to lounge under some shade or escape the crowds a bit. I also frequently make my festival decisions on whether or not the headliners could sell out their own arena show, because that usually means their fans takeover the grounds and can be, frankly, annoying. I want smaller headliners and a good undercard that I can actually see.

Bunbury is officially dead. Sad day. I went in 2013, and 2015-2019. I had some great times, I’m gonna miss it.

Louisville held three huge festivals this summer, I don't buy the idea that there aren't enough bands or interest.

Both WonderRoad and Wonderbus are making major announcements about their festivals today. I don't think it will be full lineups, but I wonder if there is a major headliner they are sharing who is announcing a tour today.

Dates announced for all 3 festivals, plus the official release said there will be another festival added, could we get one in Cincy?

But I do fear that might hit the point of oversaturation. But then again, Louisville makes several festivals work, and Indy had two successful festivals in similar genres and demographics.

Looks like Forecastle is toast. Announced they are taking 2023 off. I wondered when this would be announced since there had been nothing said about 2023 at all. Made me think it was not happening. I can’t say I am surprised based on the lineup last year and I wouldn’t be surprised if it is gone for good.

All Wonder lineups to be announced in February, starting with WonderRoad 2/7. WonderRoad and WonderBus were pretty awesome last year. I'm really hoping one of them gets Noah Kahan, but he had an Indy date already. I think Columbus as well now that I think about it so likely not.

One was last week I think, and the other is at amphitheater this summer. He’s definitely out. Based off other lineups, I could see us getting Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Hozier, Manchester Orchestra, Father John Zmisty, Lumineers, CAAMP, Duran Duran or Sheryl Crowe.

Noah is tonight but had been sold out for months. I have tickets to see him in Cincy and then his later date here in Indy. Manchester would be rad. Trying not to get my hopes up for much. I'm usually pretty happy with their lineups

i’ll likely be there. Isbell’s not my bag, but I can get down with weezer, coin, x ambassadors, lovelytheband, andrew mcmahon, tropidelic, and dizgo. *and local natives. this is a great lineup for a small 2 day fest.

Solid lineup. As someone who bought Wonderbus presale, I am very confident. Agreed. As someone who bought presale for both I extremely pleased so far. You really cannot beat that lineup at that price point. I was worried we’d get overlap from Wonderbus last year, but local natives and coin are it. This lineup also has a deep undercard, better than last year. Hoping that transfers to WonderBus as well. Undercard was a bit thin last year.

Do you know how festivals handle kids tickets? For instance lets pretend that an absent minded dad bought tickets {early Nov 2022} for his kids, one that is 10 but will be 11 at festival time and one that is already 11..... But kids tickets are ages 3-10.
